Research - Use of Language

In the next segment of my research I feel it necessary to investigate the type of language used in magazine productions. Whether they are formal or informal, is correct grammar used for example?

Within Q magazine more often that not correct punctuation is present, as you would expect there is numerous amounts of technical lexis - this concurrs with my previous research, indicating that the magazine is aimed at a specific target audience. The language used isn't always simple to read, thus also attracting a more sophisticated reader - for example in comparison to the NME production, the choice of lexis is more 'dumbed down'.
