There seems to be two arguments relating to pricing a college production aimed at students. Some maintain that a cost should incurr - the funds from sales going towards college social events. Others would argue that a free production would ensure more students accessed the magazine, thus more would be aware of any social events and a higher turn out would raise funds in food, drink etc.
A further argument is that the primary reason for a college production is to inform students about a wide range of matters, with social evenings being way down the list of priorities and in this case it should be free for students to recieve as much information as possible.
